Permanent Dentures
THE Dental Implant Solution

Why would I want permanent dentures?

What are permanent dentures?

With just 4-6 dental implants, an entire arch of teeth can be replaced with a fixed and permanent set of teeth in as little as 24 hours. These implants are used as anchors for a rigid framework that will distribute chewing forces evenly so you can begin using your new teeth the day they are placed!

Permanent dentures are a very cost efficient way to replace an entire arch of teeth (either upper/lower) or a full mouth of teeth (both upper AND lower) by using only 4-6 implants per arch.  A key difference between permanent dentures and other full arch and full mouth implant options is that they are "fixed".  Fixed means you don't take them out. They are screwed in to the implant anchors, are permanent and only your dentist will remove them for cleanings just like having natural teeth cleaned at a routine hygiene appointment.

Top 5 Questions People Ask About Permanent Dentures

  • How Many Teeth Are In All-on-4/All-on-6 Dental Implants?
The all-on-4/6 dental implants procedure uses 4-6 implants to support a full arch of teeth. Generally the implants support 10 - 14 teeth. This can be either an upper or lower set of teeth. All-on-4/6 is a great option for patients who are missing all of their teeth, or who have failing teeth that need to be replaced.
  • Are All-on-4/6 Comfortable?
All-on-4/6 are designed to be comfortable for the patient. The dental implants are placed in strategic locations in the jaw and the replacement teeth are attached to them. This gives the patient a more natural bite and feel to their teeth. All-on-4/6 also distribute the biting force evenly across all of the implants, which makes them stronger and more durable than traditional dentures.
  • Are All-on-4/6 Removable?
All-on 4/6 dental implants are "fixed" meaning they are NOT removable. The new teeth are secured to the implants using prosthetic screws and only a dentist can remove them. Because they are fixed chewing efficiency is increased to almost 100% of your natural teeth vs. dentures which only provide 20-30%.
  • Are All-on-4/6 Dental Implants Covered By Insurance?
Dental implants are usually not covered by dental insurance because they are considered a cosmetic procedure. Oftentimes insurance companies will downgrade coverage meaning if you are missing more than one tooth, they will only cover a portion of the downgraded benefit of a removable partial denture. If you are missing all of your teeth or need all of your teeth removed, insurance usually only covers the cost of a full removable denture.
  • Are All-on-4/6 Dental Implants Worth It?
We spend money on so many things in our lives and the best investment you can make is one in yourself. If you are missing teeth, suffering form pain and discomfort from your teeth or unable to enjoy life because of your teeth, then YES, All-on-4/6 dental implants is worth it. All-on/4/6 can give you an amazing smile, restore your chewing function, you don't take them out and they won't decay,
  • How do zygomatic implants work?
Zygomatic implants are extra long titanium posts that are inserted into the zygomatic bone (or cheekbone) just below the eye socket. Once placed, these posts function as anchors for custom-made dental bridges, which replace missing teeth.
  • How much does all-on-4 cost?
The average cost of a single arch of all-on-4 dental implants is $29,000. This is the industry average, but this can vary greatly depending on location and materials used. If an all-on-4 provider has an onsite lab this can also greatly reduce the cost.
  • What Are All-on-4/All-on-6 Dental Implants?
The all on four/all on six dental implant procedure provides a great option to replace all of your teeth with dental implants. It is a procedure that can give you a brand new smile in just one day. All on four/all on six dental implants use 4-6 dental implants placed in the jawbone and then topped with a full fixed hybrid bridge to give you a more natural feeling smile compared to alternatives such as dentures.
